Adult Residential Care Homes (ARCH)
Smaller, home-like settings that provide 24-hour accommodations and help with activities of daily living for adults who need at least minimal assistance.
What is an Adult Residential Care Home?
Adult residential care homes (ARCH) provide 24-hour accommodations to adults who require at least minimal assistance in activities of daily living (e.g., bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, and walking) in a residential home setting. These homes are committed to creating opportunities for seniors to lead meaningful lives, while at the same time offering the peace of mind that comes from knowing assistance is always available. ARCHs develop assessments of residents' needs and develop a schedule of activities. Unlike assisted living, these facilities are usually smaller and have a residential atmosphere.
Each adult residential care home is different, offering different services and/or specializations. Contact CareSift with questions about Adult Residential Care Homes, and whether one is the right fit for your situation.
Daily life
To accommodate and bolster the morale of residents, varied activities are offered specifically for your loved one to have daily success. Activities are often tailored and geared toward each individual's needs and abilities. This includes promoting maximum independence for each resident by eliminating daily demands.
Much activity is centered on basic domestic routines, providing an environment of familiarity and accomplishment.
